Job Summary
Special Task Manager
 

Job Objective
The Special Task Manager is a position of responsibility within the Inside Sales department.  In addition to providing excellent customer service, the Special Task Manager will work on bid projects as assigned by the Territory Sales Manager and the Sales Assistant Manager, assist his/her Salespersons and promote teamwork to help generate sales, develop customer relations, increase profits,  expedite product delivery and resolve problems.  This position is also responsible for maintaining an upcoming sample showroom facility and designing a sample “checkout” procedure for the outside sales force.

 
Job Responsibilities
  • Special projects management.
  • Responsible for organization and upkeep of "tabletop showroom", once in place.
  • Design and implement samples "checkout" and return system and procedure.
  • Assume Sales Assistant Managers role when that position is absent.
  • Help keep the catalog reference area up to date and organized.
  • Assisting sales people with product specification, discounting, and quoting.
  • Monitor and control backorder reports of specified sales personnel.
  • Order entry/quotation processing
  • Client calls management
  • Credit memos
  • Product research
  • Vendor will call
  • Process repair/warranty issues
  • Freight damage claims
Skills/Qualifications
This position requires a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, solid analytical skills, and good oral and written communication skills. Applicant needs to be a well organized, team player with a customer service approach to job performance. A strong understanding of hospitality product, and industry distribution channels are needed to be successful at this position. Requires Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook with proficient business math skills and computer literacy. Proficiencies will be tested during the interview process. Food Service experience a plus.
